Apertura ("we", "our", or "the app") is a movie and series tracker developed by Sokyra Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Apertura stores your watchlists (Want to Watch, Watching, Watched) locally on your device. We do not collect or store your personal data on our servers.

The following information may be processed:

Watchlist data — movies and series you save to your lists. Stored locally only via SharedPreferences.
Movie & series data — titles, posters, and ratings are fetched from the TMDB API (The Movie Database) based on your searches and browsing. No personal data is sent to TMDB.
Advertising data — the app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Purchase data — if you subscribe to Apertura Premium, purchases are processed by Google Play and verified via RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Data

To provide core app functionality (watchlists, search, recommendations)
To fetch movie and series content from TMDB
To display relevant advertisements via AdMob
To process and verify Premium subscriptions via RevenueCat

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

TMDB API — search queries and content requests (no personal data)
Google AdMob — advertising identifiers for ad delivery
RevenueCat — purchase verification for Premium subscriptions

4. Data Storage and Security

Your watchlist data is stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. You can delete all data at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or uninstalling the app.

5. Children's Privacy

Apertura is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Your Rights

You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings. For any privacy-related requests, contact us at the email below.
